Working Hard for Rhode Island

Congressman David Cicilline is a proven fighter who puts the interests of his constituents first and works hard every day to improve the lives of Rhode Island families.  He’s fighting to:

  • Combat corporate monopolies, end price gouging, and provide relief to consumers at the gas pump and grocery check-out.
  • Protect Medicare and Social Security.
  • Make it easier for young people to finish college without a mountain of debt.
  • Increase investments in job training and apprenticeships – making sure Rhode Islanders have the needed skills for the 21stcentury economy.
  • Make critical investments in our roads, bridges, highways, water systems, and schools to rebuild America – creating good-paying jobs and improving our quality of life.
  • Ensure our manufacturers at home have the resources they need to grow and create good-paying jobs.
  • End the corrupting influence of money in our politics, and refusing to accept campaign contributions from corporations.
  • Guarantee our veterans have access to the best services and opportunities possible.
  • Once and for all, fix our broken immigration system that harms our economy and our standing in the world.
  • Ensure Rhode Islanders have every possible resource available as we continue COVID-19 response and recovery efforts.

In Congress, Cicilline continues to deliver for Rhode Island’s First District by bringing home hundreds of millions of dollars in federal funding each year to rebuild our roads, bridges, and infrastructure, support our schools and first responders, battle the opioid addiction crisis, and much more. And David is always accessible, responsive, and accountable to the residents of the First District of Rhode Island – helping thousands of Rhode Islanders cut through government red tape and gain access to Social Security, Health, Medicare and Veterans benefits owed to them, answering constituent letters, visiting small businesses, hosting community conversations, and meeting with constituents to hear their thoughts and concerns.
